Sorry yesterdays post should have been Thursday, December 22. The floor is looking good. I really like it. Easton enjoyed his PJ day today. Peyton also enjoyed hanging out in her PJ's until it was time to head to hockey practice. Easton and I just finished watching The Polar Express. Pizza this evening and off to Auntie Colleen and Uncle Robb's in the A.M.

Wednesday, December 22

Before heading out for dinner this evening we stopped to check on Mayor Perske's progress. The Sartell, Sauk Rapids, and St. Cloud Mayors were all out this evening ringing the bell for the salvation army. This is our dear friend, my coworker, and Mayor of Sartell, Joe Perske. The few seconds that Peyton was ringing the bell a man handed a big bill of money to her to put in the red bucket! Maybe Peyton should ring the bell more often for the salvation army.


The new flooring is looking very nice and I will take a photo and post tomorrow.

This evening the kids learned how to instant message on their i-touches. Hard to believe that would be so exciting since they have been able to face time each other since they got the i-touches last year! No school tomorrow. Let our Christmas break begin.

Only a week left until Santa comes.

It is Monday morning - do i really have to get out of bed? Our Indy boy is showing his age (8) at times. Monday after school with the kids was some what quiet. Peyton found this frame and make a cute snowman picture to go in it.

I skipped work on Tuesday so I could pick the kids up after school. We headed home and made our sugar cookies. They used ALL the sugar!!!

This morning we started the process of getting our new flooring. Tile will be laid tomorrow. The kids are full of energy and can not wait for our travels north.

Her first goal for the year

Thursday evening Karen gave each of the kids a cute little light up tree. I noticed Friday morning that Peyton had hers set up for her pet shop toys. So cute.

Saturday Peyton had a hockey game in Monticello. She scored her first goal for the season. Peyton and Easton spent much of the afternoon playing Indiana Jones on the PS3. They made it the furthest they have ever been. Easton was jumping up and down he was so excited.

Saturday evening I made a special treat for all of us. Coffee blended with ice cream. It was a big hit with the kids.

Sunday Peyton had another hockey game in Sartell. We also baked snickerdoodles and spritz cookies.

Week of December 12th

Not only are we counting down the days until Santa comes but also counting down the days until Dad is Watch Dog at Peyton and Easton's school. That was Monday! The kids loved when Dad spent the day at school with them. Dad was VERY tired when 2:20 came along.

Tuesday was a busy baking day. Peyton, Easton, and I made up four boxes of goodies to give to a few neighbors and Chris and Karen Chopp. We delivered the neighbor boxes that night. We made melt away sugar cookies, cinnamon fudge with sea salt on top, and peppermint bark. We also squeezed in some time to wrap a few gifts for Dad and Scarlet.

Wednesday Peyton had hockey practice. Easton enjoyed playing with his star wars toys during that time. When Peyton got home from hockey she crashed on the chair in the living room to watch the Beauty and the Beast Christmas special.Thursday we delivered our last box of goodies to Chris and Karen. We also picked up our last Christmas gift at the Mall. Christmas shopping is done. Now onto more baking and getting those Christmas card made up and in the mail.

The Weekend

On Friday, Peyton had evening hockey practice and was so excited that Rachael would be at practice and taking her and Easton home so mom and dad could go out for the evening.

Saturday we put up our Christmas tree in the living room. Both kids loved decorating it! Later that evening Peyton, Indy, and I were in the St. Cloud winter parade with Luke and his POW-MIA balloon basket. What a super night. So warm out and a full moon at the end of the parade route.

Sunday we made one of Easton's favorite treats. Melted chocolate with pretzels. Easton's mold was race cars and Peyton's was trees. After that we headed to Peyton's first hockey game of the season. Wow has she improved. So much fun to watch her.

December 7th and 8th.

While Peyton was at hockey practice on Wednesday, (Dec. 7) Easton and I played a few rounds of Kids Sequence. We also worked very hard on his 100 worksheet.

After school on Thursday we headed to Minneapolis to check out Macy's animated "A Day in the Life of an Elf."

After Macy's we grabbed a bit to eat and enjoyed the Holidazzle parade. http://www.holidazzle.com/
